apinae.dev is a one-person research project. This page is short because the site does very little with your data.
If you give me your email
The signup box sends your address to Loops, which stores it and sends the emails. I use it for one thing: telling you what the research turned up. No selling, no sharing, no passing it to anyone else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list. You can also just email me and I will remove you by hand.
If you book a call
Booking runs on Cal.com, which collects your name, email and the answers to the screening questions so I know whether the conversation will be useful for both of us. Interview notes are kept privately and are not published in any form that identifies you or your employer without your explicit say-so. If a call is recorded, I ask first, out loud, on the recording — and if you say no, it is not recorded.
Analytics
The site uses PostHog, hosted in the US, to understand how it is used. It records which pages get read, how you arrived (the referring site, if any), roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you are on, and which parts of a page you click or scroll past. Analytics run in memory only — no cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device.
That is all. No advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking profiles, no selling or sharing the data with anyone. Nothing PostHog collects is used to identify you personally — if you have given me your email for the list, your visits are not linked to it.
To opt out, block posthog.com in your browser, or email me
and I will tell you exactly what the data looks like.
Your rights
- Ask what I hold about you
- Ask for it to be corrected
- Ask for it to be deleted — this one is instant and I will not ask why
Email uraj2800@gmail.com for any of the above.
Changes
If this page changes materially and you are on the email list, I will say so in an email rather than quietly editing the date.
